Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist

Duties:
- Leads KPCA Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs
- Acts as a liaison with KPCA member clinics
- Identifies clinical quality training needs
- Provides on-site Technical Assistance to KPCA member clinics throughout Kentucky
- Represents KPCA and its members in statewide partnerships
- Researches, writes and edits short reports

Requirements:
- BSN minimum - NP preferred
- Additional masters in health informatics, public health or health administration preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a primary care setting
- Experience developing and implementing Quality Assurance/Improvement Plans
- Knowledge of HRSA/BPHC program requirements and Joint Commission accreditation
- Strong informatics skills and familiarity with HIT including PECS and the use of EHRs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally
- Background check and drug test

Manager, Performance Improvement

Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree

Description/Purpose Of Position:
Responsible for the overall management of the Performance Improvement department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
BSN or graduate of a school of nursing and currently completing courses to obtain Bachelors degree in nursing or a related field.

Experience:
Five (5) years clinical experience, with two to four years QA or PI experience, and a minimum two (2) years progressive management experience.

Technical Skills:
Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, and database.

License/Certification:
Current RN license in the state of Nevada.

Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
