While the mission of the Kentucky Association for Healthcare Quality, Inc. (KAHQ) is to promote the growth and development of Performance Improvement healthcare professionals throughout the state, to facilitate communication, KAHQ is organized into four Regional groups; Eastern, Western, Metropolitan, and Bluegrass. These Regional groups work closely together to share knowledge within their area and to provide monthly or quarterly meetings including continuing education (CE) offerings. KAHQ members can attend any/all regional meetings in-person or virtually. The regional group leaders and contact information are listed below.
Metropolitan "Metro" Chapter
Metro meets monthly on the first Thursday of the month in Louisville at Centerstone Kentucky (10101 Linn Station Road, Louisville, KY), 8:30 – 10:00 AM EDT. Other region members, new members and guests are always welcome. If you would like to come just for the 1-hour QA/PI (KBN) CE Offering, it starts around 9:00 AM. Topics include healthcare quality, risk management, infection prevention, utilization management, or health information management, etc.
Free parking is available to the right of the building. Enter through the main entrance. When you sign-in with the receptionist at the frontdesk, you will be given a visitor's pass-key and directed to the second floor. The Waterford Meeting Room is a left, then right and right after you enter with the pass-key. The room is clearly marked.
Bluegrass Chapter
Bluegrass meets on a Friday every quarter from 1:30-3:00 PM at Saint Joseph Office Park (1401 Harrodsburg Road, Building D, 4th floor, Chase Room). Other region members, new members and guests are always welcome. A variety of Learning sessions are provided with CEs during the chapter meetings.
Free visitor parking directly in front of the hospital.
Eastern Chapter
Meets every other month with continuing education (CE) offerings.
Western Chapter
Meetings include luncheon and are at least quarterly..
